Good evening HP Community. Today I am bringing up this discussion which I am one hundred percent sure that it was brought up in the past on the forums. I got my gaming laptop in August-September 2019 and it's a great laptop so far, I am really happy with it. However, the only issue that is giving me a hard time is the heat problem which affects both CPU and GPU. I have been gaming on this laptop pretty much all the time since I bought it and what I noticed is that the CPU gets around 90-97 degrees in the newest games and the GPU doesn't go more than 86 degrees. I'm worried about it because a CPU is not okay to go so far and it might die if it keeps like that. I would like to undervolt my laptop but here is the main issue with the undervolting. I tried out ThrottleStop and XTU to lower the voltage. The max I could go was -0,160, if I went more than that it was blue screening. Now the thing is if I lower just the offset voltage and apply, I don't see any results at all, literally same temperatures. However, if I change the Turbo Ratio Limits to 34-36 I do see results and it lowers my temperatures around 80 for the CPU. But I am not sure if it's a good idea to do it because this limits my CPU to run only at 3,4 GHz. My current BIOS version is F.15 (which I believe it's the newest one) and I have all the drivers updated. I was thinking though... is it possible to be related to BIOS? I heard scenarios when people weren't able to undervolt because the option it was disabled in the BIOS.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me with it and come up with a solution.

"I am not an expert but..."
Since you are already undervolting, try underclocking as well and adjust it according to the needs of your running apps. Also, you can try using a good cooling fan. I recommend MSI Afterburner to help you monitor and control the temp (also the fan).
