Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

HP Pavilion Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)

When hovering over the battery icon, it says plugged in, not charging.  I have updated the bios, power cycled the laptop, run the support diagnostic, and confirmed that the laptop will stay on/turn on when plugged in with out a battery.  Reinstalling the battery driver  has not worked.  My battery and adapter both pass the component test and a new adapter doesn't resolve the issue. What else can I do to resolve this?  I have had this issue in the past and if it continues, I will need to consider it when I purchase a new laptop (if this persists that will be sooner rather than later out of necessity).

Thank you in advanced for your assistance.
