HP Spectre x360 13 4003na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I plugged in my laptop after not using it for some months and it booted to windows fine.  5 minutes later it went completely dead, no light on the power adapter, nothing. I held power button in for 60 seconds, held vol up + power for 20, it is still dead.  A few days later once I found the right screwdriver, I opened the back and the battery has leaked a brown sticky fluid which has obviously tracked from the battery down toward the lowest point.

I am not an expert, but doing a bit of reading online, I assume this is battery electrolyte, some sort of polymer? and that it may have damaged the components.  While I acknowledge that batteries have a finite lifespan, for it to fail in this way is not the expected behaviour for a unit that has been very well looked after. I can't even replace the battery now as I assume the laptop needs repair.

Could someone from HP please contact me to discuss my options? Many thanks in advance. I can provide photos if needed.
