I have an hp pavilion 15-cr0055od.Im using a 256gb M.2 SSD. I tried to connect it to a 1tb hard drive using a hard drive connector, but when its connected, the laptop won't turn boot up. when its disconnected it turns on.

" I tried to connect it to a 1tb hard drive using a hard drive connector"
That is too generic of a description for the hardware you are referring to.
Can you explain exactly what you mean, instead of saying a hard drive connector?

I had to rephrase this because your original post is not that easily understood.
Connecting with a 12-pin SATA ribbon cable. Just how are you making that connection?
Can you provide a image that you can post here?
