HP Notebook - 17-by0063cl
Microsoft Windows 11

This laptop is 3 years old. The bottom aluminum case has sort of failed (broke off at the left hinge) Can I get a replacement case ?

Both the corners near the hinges used to bulge up frequently and had it sent in for repairs less than a year ago.

Now that the corner segment of the case has fallen off, the left hinge is totally unsupported - so my screen can collapse any time.

Seems to me like a poor product design.

Sure any part can be replaced. The issue is the cost and the labor to install it.

See p. 16 of the Manual for a parts list. Let us know what you need and we can search and try to find a reasonable price on it.

It may also need new hinges. Should be examined pretty carefully before ordering replacement parts to be sure you are getting everything that has broken.

When/if you strike out there post back as we can find them from online sources probably cheaper than the HP Partner sites.

Good luck
