Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,So from past few days my laptop is running too hot. The idle temperature on battery is in the range of 49°C-61°C.

But on battery the chassis does not feel hot. On the other side, while charging, the cpu is contantly at a temperature of 53°C and occasionally rises to about 66°C and then drops to 53°C and the laptop becomes hot, like really HOT. This worries me that it will damage my battery.

I bought this laptop November 2018.

Please note that I have checked the task manager thoroughly for power consuming processes, and I dont find any problem.I have attached a screenshot of the task manger and the minimum and maximum temps(these are at night at 24°C) . The laptop runs even hotter during the day.

First of all, this CPU/GPU running hotter than others, one can wonder who thought of putting this combo into this slick design...

I would manually install AMD's own drivers and try that out, I'm "sure" they are more recent and therefore maybe better...

However, as said, it is a hot running combo and only better cooling can really help.

A search shows that playing games without hopeless throttleling on both chips is best done without the power cord plugged in.

At what temp does the fan(s) start?

No need for thumbs up or other farcical deeds.

The fan starts at about 50°C.Very poor thermal design I must say.

I have an Intel 7100u machine and it starts at 48c. I'm sure you cant adjust the fan manually via software...

Mine has as your's a 15w TDP but your's seems to be able to throttle down to 12w. Your boost takes it up to 25w and judging by your cooling solution here -which look like mine in size, I dare without hesitation to say that that pipe is not enough for your boost wattage.

However, in idle it should come down to say 43-45c IMHO, mine does 41-42c at idle. But...

With mine I took off the heatsink and removed 95% of the paste (it was everywhere!) which did a lot. Nothing I would recommend you though, better take it to where ever under your warranty and let them do it. Just tell them that the fan starts as soon as you touching the laptop, shouldn't be like that...

No need for thumbs up or other farcical deeds.

No , Updating to the latest bios didn`t help.On battery im getting anywhere between 45°C-50°C. But when i plug the charger ,the temperature suddenly rises to 55°C and the chassis starts to get hot.I think it is a problem while charging.I saw the other steps ,but I am unable to open the laptop and check the vents, and besides the temps on battery  are okay i guess then why there is abrupt rise when i plug my laptop?

When you plug the cord in the laptop senses that and gives full power to CPU and GPU, that's why it's getting hotter, it's normal. You can change that in windows but then again, why buy a fast computer when the heat won't let you use that power...
