Hi Everyone,
I had downloaded the latest BIOS (7.16) for what appeared to be the p7-1019 system. Upon install, it now shows as a p7-1047c system in the BIOS but the system appears to be working without issue. Not sure if these systems share the same motherboard and BIOS but would prefer the bios to show as p7-1019. Is that possible, do I have to find the right BIOS (cannot find any other links online), or am I pretty much stuck with this? Thank you anyone for your help.

Hi @HexValic,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Looks like the issue occurred after the BIOS update. Please make sure that the correct BIOS file was downloaded.
- Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
- Enter your product name or let the HP website detect your device.
- Select the operating system you are using.
- Download the BIOS Update:
- From the product page, look for the BIOS section and download the latest BIOS update. Make sure it matches your specific system model and operating system.
- Install the BIOS Update:
- Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. This will often involve restarting your computer and the update will be applied during the boot-up process.
- Some updates might run within Windows, while others might need to be done via a USB flash drive in a pre-boot environment.
If the issue still occurs, we can perform a reset.
