HP ENVY 17-3277nr Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Originally I had Insyde F.05 BIOS, which I inadvertently updated from HP website to F.0B Ver A. I am not sure whether that is OK for W7 x64, because I can only find a confirmation that it is good for Windows 8. My question 1 is whether F.0B Ver. A is OK for Windows 7 x64 (Pro)?

My question 2 is for ideas in the following problem:

My Envy (product: 85Q70UA#ABA with 2 HDDs 1 TB each) has the same problem with both versions of BIOS - BIOS does not see a HDD (with W7 & system installed on HDD in either bay), every time I have to reboot from a  repair or installation DVD. I am getting booting errors 3F0 or 301, but I replaced both HDDs with new ones and nothing changed. I also replaced the CMOS battery & the main battery and cleaned everything with air cans; no joy!  Any ideas?
