Can someone tell me what it would cost to replace the leather cover on my HP Spectre Folio 13-ak0015nr; it is beginning to split in the front near the touchpad? Also, what would be the cost to replace the battery…while the cover is already being replaced it would be a great time to put a new battery in it! Oh, wait…does replacing the battery automatically include replacing the leather; you would have to destroy the existing cover to remove it when replacing the battery. Sorry for the crazy questions, but I believe battery replacement should include both battery AND cover, if I’m not mistaken. Then again, I am human and prone to making mistakes.
Thank you!

Here is the part information.

IMPORTANT: Do not clean the leather cover with alcohol. It may discolor the leather.

You can order one from an online vendor if you can find it and have it replaced at a laptop shop.
I expect that yours is the WLAN version, as in without WWAN (SIM card)
Here are some online vendor sources I found.

As for the cost, this is not a PC shop. Ask the shop when you take it in to have it installed.
Don't forget to back up your notebook before you take it to a shop.
