HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp111dx

Like so many others here, the left hinge broke during normal use, and the unit is out of warranty.  It is not clear if these are repairable.  Please advise.

HP's "resolution" was to tell me that their computers have a 4 year lifetime and that mine is out of the 1 year warranty period.  Maybe the advertisements should say that.  I asked if HP could, as an accommodation, transfer the Windows 11 Pro license on my broken HP computer to the new HP which I bought as a replacement.  Instead of thanking me for being a repeat customer, the response was that they are not Microsoft.  But they are the OEM.  Anyhow, enough time wasted.
