Just got my HP Envy 16 and love it BUT the native charger is a beast. 200 watts, 19,3 V, 10.3 A. Charges quickly but the thing weighs 400 g (14 oz) plus the cords. Is there a much lighter, lower power (e.g., 65W) alternative that will still work? I am OK with longer charging times, I just don't want to lug that much weight.

@Geosync,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Here is a 65-watt charger Amazon purchase option: https://www.amazon.com/15-u010dx-15-u011dx-15-u002xx-15-u050ca-14-f020us/dp/B01N5KKNQN/ref=sr_1_5?cr....

Weight: 10.4 ounces, 295 grams.

Kind Regards,

65W won't charge your machine when in use and it may pump out warning messages every second minute

@banhien,

That is true, but a 65-watt charger will likely work as a trickle charger when the laptop is powered off.

Better still, to be crystal clear, is not to complain about the comparatively insignificant weight of the stock power supply and use that.
