Is there a list of HP notebook PCs that are made in countries other than China?
Given recent world events, I would like to avoid my next PC being manufactured in China, albeit I do accept that PCs manufactured in the US, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and so on will still contain "some" made-in-China aspects.
News reports circa 2019 suggested HP was shifting 20-30% of its manufacturing out of China, so after 25 years of buying ~35 HP PCs, I hope the next PC can be HP, and not from China.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
I'm afraid that for the time being, even if there was/is a substantive shift to "Assemble" PCs in the US, many of the computer components will still be manufactured in the PRC or by companies controlled by the PRC. I'm not sure how this will change given the profit margins involved across the board.

Thanks for the reply. Between designs, components, manufacturing, assembly, and service, nothing is pure-bred anymore, and any PC I buy will necessarily have PRC elements. I'm fine with that!
But I do see press releases suggesting HPI (and HPE) have some PC products that are "more" composed of and done outside of the PRC. I'm curious if that list of specific PC products is publicly known?
Googling, I'm finding other brands and models "more" composed of and/or done outside of the PRC, with Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Mexico and the Philippines being some examples of centers of activity beyond just the PRC.
Also Googling, I'm sensing that many PCs can be labeled "made in China" or "made in USA", yet many of the components/assemblies come from elsewhere, so I'm trying not to read too much into "made in xyz".

Let's call a Spade a Spade: the only way this is going to change is for our Federal government to exercise their proper role in enacting public policy regulations in the interest of national security imperatives: "Thou shalt be compelled to manufacture/assemble computer components in XYZ".
Leaving the decision to for-profit companies to "self-regulate" is bound to fail. For example, ask the folks in New Palestine, Ohio, why the rail industry is fine with expired technology, no need to upgrade or be held to a higher standard as long as they are not "required" to do so.
