HP ProBook 450 G9

Hello community,

I wanted to store the laptop for a very long time without having to turn it on. According to the usual steps, I just need to keep the laptop battery level around 80% and keep it in a dry and cool place. However due to circumstances, the laptop is not to be turned on so I can't accurately know the battery level. I want to ask if anyone knows a better way to store the laptop? or is there a way to check the battery level while turned off? or put the laptop into a state for long storage?

Hi Student331.

The recommended procedure for what you're trying to accomplish would be to put your laptop in "ship mode". This has been available on the business systems for many of their generations, however I have no idea if HP decided to remove it from the last generations/BIOS versions.
