Hi,
I have a hp laptop 15 db0xxx and have broken my charger. I'm looking to purchase a genuine laptop charger direct from HP to be compatible with my laptop.
However, after searching for chargers I was unable to see one that specifically listed my laptop model. My laptop model doesn't even list when I try and search various numbers in the HP Accessories section.
Here are the needed numbers
Serial Number: CND82399CY
Product Number: 4RD89EA#ABU
Would I be alright using https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Product.aspx?hpproduct=H6Y89AA%23ABU? Additionally, does this product come with a plug as it's not photographed?
I've emailed HP who told me they couldn't help and I needed to call support who just told me I needed to find one that had my product number listed (and I could do this myself via their search).
Your help would be appreciated on this issue

Hello,
I'm not satisfied with this response. You have not answered a direct question posed which was if the charger I referred to in my opening remarks was indeed a charger compatible with my laptop. Additionally, your response falls short to comprehend the detailed information I have provided already.
Your comment mentions " Part is not orderable in the HP Parts Store." Is this to say my genuine HP laptop under warranty cannot have a new charger because you don't have that option available? Instead of time-wasting cloak and dagger which is clearly following your customer service handbook to the letter, why not mention in the first instance that's why I'm unable to find a result?
You give me the link to a contact form when I specifically say I've already gone through your email support and phoned. However, neither option was fruitful and I posted both outcomes in my first post again.
I'm not going to buy a charger or any other part for my business laptop outside of HP directly. Are you seriously saying that my laptop does not have a compatible charger you sell?
In that case, I'm left with no choice but to buy a new laptop. And I will promise you it won't be a HP one.
I look forward to your customer service manual's response
Kind Regards,
Jake Symons

Hi
I'm aware this is getting a thread with a few views so for the benefit of others the private message has not answered my question (if it does I'll be sure to update a solution for you all) it just asks me to repeat the content I've already posted here and then reenforced in my second message.
I'm not sure how knowing my name and email address will help you identify a laptop charger to be honest.
Unfortunately, it would appear these forums are as useful as the email and phone support I've already tried. Anyone else available to help?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Hello,
To update I have had no message from HP support. I have had two duplicate messages from yourself. I contacted HP directly about this who have escalated my concerns with your support to the UK team, they also did not confirm if you were a genuine member of the HP team.
In terms of this issue, I still am none the wiser as to what charger I should purchase. I have had no phone or email contact even though those details were provided. I have not received any private messages either apart from one from yourself and another letting me know my concerns about your support approach have been escalated.
I still continue to require a replacement charger to that laptop which is now out of charge until such a charger is found. As I now need a charger to use my device I still require this issue to be resolved.
in regards to posting serial numbers: due to my desperation in getting this issue resolved I will post whatever information I feel is needed to make public to get this issue resolved even at the detriment of my own security.
I still require some information as to what charger I can purchase considering this laptop is for work purposes and thus I need it in an operational condition.
Kind Regards,
Jake Symons

Hi
The validity of your employment is something that I will wait to hear back from the management team. Of course you’re going to say you work for HP
In terms of this issue I have been emailed in regards to a telephone conversation. I have not phoned HP at all in regards to this, also the conversation was sent to my personal email address rather than the one given.
Due to inaccuracies in fixing this issue I believe I am being scammed (or just at the mercy of hapless customer service)
As a business customer this shouldn’t be the level of service provided. I’ll be contacting HP directly from here on in to avoid being scammed by phoney support.
Feel free to close this ticket. I’ll be escalating my concerns to the head of your U.K. team. Wasting my time here evidently isn’t going to yield an answer
Kind Regards
Jake Symons

You are welcome to contact the UK escalations team on your own, while you do, I have also re-escalated the case on high priority, and you should hear from a supervisor soon.
Keep us posted for any other assistance.
