Your USB-C port is for data transfer only so you will not be able to use a USB-C or thunderbolt dock that charges your laptop. You need a USB-C dock with DisplayLink capability and you will have to pair it with the factory AC adapter for power. The DisplayLink docks/port replicators tend to be a little more expensive but they usually have a lot of features.
