Hello,
I am looking for a housing replacement for my laptop: Hp Compaq Pavilion 15 n-266sm
I can't seem to find the specific housing for my laptop, and i was wondering if there are
any similar HP laptops that i could switch everything over and nicely fit.
I've recently damaged the housing on my laptop, but everything seems to be in working order.
Been working fine for the past few days without a glitch.
So if i could please get some help in refering me to a similar model that would be great.
I've exhausted my search, and i can't seem to find out, which exact model my laptop is,
either a dv6 or dv7, i am unsure.
Sincerely

Hello biggybear,
Not exactly sure where you're referring to as housing, but:
#20 - Base enclosure (includes battery release latch mechanism and RJ45 cover) - 742580-001
#3 - Top cover (includes TouchPad board and cable):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
#7 - Display back enclosure (includes 2 rubber screw covers):
You can then use the HP Spare part number(s) in the HP Parts store here. You may also be able to find it elsewhere on the Internet.
All replacement procedures will be available in your computer's Maintenance and Service Guide.
Regards,
Eddy

Hello Kem579,
Thanks for responding. Housing as ie. the body, or the case of the laptop. I'd like to move all the motherboard, hard drive, all the components, to a new casing. Sadly, allthe images on your post is a yellow triangle.
I can't seem to find my exact laptop online, it would be great if i could buy a parts only laptop, since all i need is the housing, but Im assuming my laptop model Pavilion 15 N266SM may be region specific, because I've found a similar model number N266SA, but I am unsure if all the components, once moved, would fit in place or not.
It would be much easier if i can find out if my laptop is part of a specific series, ie. P-Series, DV6, DV7, G2 etc. but all i have to work with is that my laptop is an HP Pavilion 15-n266sm product #G1M15EA
I have managed to find my specific laptop on Hp's site, with the same exact tech
details https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c04089242
So if buying a different HP Pavilion 15.6" laptop, may i easily fit everything in, if yes, that I'd like to ask, about the dedicated ports that is already intergrated to my motherboard. Ie. Usb ports, HDMI ports, etc.
Thank you

I understand.
I currently have some school stuff so can't confirm right now but I think I have hooked you up with all the necessary parts as stated by the Maintenance and Service Guide posted above.
Unfortunately, the model number doesn't list hardware compnents in HP PartSurfer.
Check back at the images in a few hours and they should be approved by the moderators.
All the best,
Eddy
