Hello,
I have a HP ENVY x360 m6-w102xdx convertible laptop, operating on windows 10, 64-bit. I currently have 8GBs of Ram. I am looking to updrade to 16GB. Is that possible with this laptop? If so, what steps do I take to do this?
Thank you

Possible yes:
Memory Two SODIMM slots - non customer accessible / non-upgradeable DDR3L-1600 Dual Channel Support Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM
From p. 2 of the Manual here:
See p. 42 however. This is not an easy procedure and involves removal of the motherboard.
If you can do all that disassembly and reassembly you can add one of these to have 16 gigs:
8-GB (DDR3L-1600) 693374-005
Seller shows a 4 gig module in the picture but sells 8 gig modules.
