The fan on my laptop was running overtime to the point where it just shut down my Laptop. So I took out all the screws and opened up the bottom so that I could dust it off with an air blaster. I noticed one of the FFC cables was loose and just lying there But I have no idea where it belongs. Can somebody help me maybe with a picture of what the inside should look like so I know where to replace this FC cable

You can connect the SATA HDD to a USB to SATA adapter. They are inexpensive at less that $10.00.
When you do that it can be connected to a PC or laptop's USB port to use Windows Explorer and copy the files.

Can you provide a high resolution image for us?
I can't image how someone could "Can somebody help me maybe with a picture of what the inside should look like so I know where to replace this FC cable" when you haven't provided any identification of your laptop. We really would like to help.
There does exist the possibility that the flat cable is for an option that your laptop was not delivered with.
Unfortunately, we don't have access to each and every laptop or PC and certainly not images showing the flat ribbon cable placement.
When you do not identify your desktop or laptop PC, you tie our hands behind our backs. Help us to help you.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

No worries. Thanks for the images.
Is there something, in terms of an option, that isn't working?
I do not see any ZIF connector in the images that is missing its flat cable.
As long as everything operates as normal, consider that it may have just inadvertently dropped into the enclosure during manufacture.
It was clearly missed by the eagle eye who was supposed to perform a QA inspection.
The images are clear, but for some reason or other they were not approved by the forum Moderation staff.
I have the permissions to view them

Hi again. And thank you for sticking with me.
Before I disassembled this laptop my fan was running very hard and then all of a sudden it shut off and would not turn on. Someone suggested it may be dusty on the inside. So thats when I opened it up … so I could air blast any dust …and thats when I noticed that FFC strip.
I will put it back together this week and hope that it starts up again. I have a lot of saved files on this laptop. 🤞. If it doesnt, what would you recommend I do in order to get my files? I am not a tech person at all so what may seem obvious to techs is not to me. So, any suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you. 😁
