- Loose/Noisy trackpad on Spectre x360 (model 15df0013dx)

I've read around and found that many people have an issue with the trackpads on many of the spectre x360 models. I owned a 13" model from 2015 and the trackpad was phenomenal; never had an issue although I know some people did. However, after upgrading to the Kaby Lake 15" model, right out of the box the trackpad has been uncomfortable and awkward. There are extra clicking noises and it takes far more force to click and make gestures on the pad. Is there a specific fix that works well?

If the touchpad is loose in the case, there is no fix for that except to have the machine repaired. It might be a simple fix; there is no way to know without opening up the case - and a new computer should not need you digging around inside it. Rats.
If the clicking is a result of the touchpad moving around, then - same thing: no fix with software.
If the touchpad is physically OK (secure, not moving, not loose), then adjusting the touchpad sensitivity might help.
Settings > Devices > Touchpad
Adjust "Touchpad Sensitivity" to better accommodate your habits
If you believe the problems are due to hardware, contact HP for Warranty Repair.
