The adapter you will need depends on the configuration of the notebook.
You provided the notebook CTO (configured to order) product name only.
Provide the SKU and I can find information on the proper power adapter
If the notebook still boots up.
Press the power button and immediately tap the F1 key to invoke system inforation.
Copy down the Product number (SKU) and post it in your next reply.

Hi:
Regardless of what product number 17t-ab000 notebook you have, they all use this power adapter/part number.
710415-001 | Smart AC adapter (120W) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power-factor correcting (NPFC) - Requires separate 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector Part 710415-001 is no longer supplied. Please order the replacement, L32661-001 |
What I suggest you do is to go on eBay and search by either power adapter part number and find a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter.
Those normally come with the power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter.

You're very welcome, Sue:
There is no additional information when I enter the product number or serial number you posted, but the processor and graphics your notebook has indicates in chapter 1 of the manual, that is a Intel 6th generation processor, with N16-GX (960 M) graphics.
So, according to chapter 3 of the service manual, that configuration uses this power adapter, which is the same part number of the power adapter I gave you from the general product number's parts list.
120 W PFC, S-3P, slim, 4.5 mm, (for N16-GX, NV 17P-G0, and NV 17P-G1 (KBL-U) only) 710415-001
