HP Pavilion - 14-ce3520sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I bought my HP pavilion laptop a couple of days and the fan is constantly on and really loud even when I'm not running apps etc.. I have updated the bios, run diagnostic tests, and changed my power settings etc.. but the problem still exists. I've seen many posts about the same problem. Does anyone have a solution for this? Its driving me mad!

Thank you.

@Rhiannan Welcome to HP Community!

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Any recent hardware or software changes made to your PC?

While you respond to that, Click here to see this video in full screen on YouTube to reduce Heat Inside the Laptop to Prevent Overheating, alternatively, you can Click here for step by step instructions.

Also, to resolve issues such as Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly:

  • Updating your Notebook computer BIOS (Skip this step)
  • Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
  • Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
  • Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
  • Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use

Keep me posted, as I (Or a trusted colleague) shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again, only in case you don't get back to us, first!

That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That'll help us, and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
