Hi @Sajid0421
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand how unsettling it must be to hear a loud beeping noise from your notebook, and I appreciate the effort you’ve already put into trying to resolve it.
Let’s walk through some clear steps together to narrow down the cause and bring back a calmer experience with your device.
Step 1: Identify the Source of the Beep
- Check if the beeping occurs immediately at startup (before Windows loads). If so, it may be a hardware alert from the BIOS.
- If the beeping starts only after Windows has loaded, it could be linked to software or drivers.
Step 2: Power Reset
- Shut down the notebook completely.
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove any external devices (USB drives, accessories).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
- Reconnect the adapter and power on the notebook.
Step 3: Run Hardware Diagnostics
Your notebook has built‑in diagnostics that can help pinpoint issues.
- Turn off the notebook.
- Press the power button, then immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F2 to launch System Diagnostics.
- Run the Component Tests for memory and hard drive.

Step 4: Check Windows Settings
- Ensure that all drivers are up to date using HP Support Assistant.
- Open the HP Support Assistant app from the Start menu and run updates for BIOS, chipset, and audio drivers.

Step 5: Observe Beep Patterns
- If the beeping is continuous, note whether it changes when pressing keys or connecting/disconnecting the adapter.
- If the beeping follows a pattern (like 2 short, 1 long), it may indicate a BIOS code. These codes can be interpreted through the diagnostics page above.
Step 6: Audio Alerts
Sometimes Windows accessibility features such as Toggle Keys or Sticky Keys can cause beeping when pressing keys.
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard.
- Turn off options like Toggle Keys or Filter Keys if enabled.
By following these steps, we can determine whether the beeping is hardware‑related or a Windows setting. If diagnostics show no hardware fault and the sound persists, it is often linked to software alerts or accessibility features.
