Product: Notebook Compaq 15-H055nl - Pavilion 6530
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Before upgrading the OS from Windows 8 to 8.1 and recently to W10 the wifi signal strength was very good. Today it is very low and if I stay more than 2 meters from the router the signal is not maintained. It is not a router settings issue. I changed a lot of drivers, I also used HP assistant but the signal strength remains very poor. Are there any settings to change, after installing the driver, that might help? Advanced setting and so on?

Have you tried using a different channel? Set the router to a different channel.

yes, all possible configuration change has been done, included channels. I have used old and new drivers, but nothing change. I don't know if there is some settings in folder "Advanced" of driver properties that could help or if it's hardware problem )card oxided contacts for example.

 

Anyway, I'm quite sure, something changed with windows upgrade...that's why I'm looking for suggestion in driver or driver settings.

 

Open of course at ll suggestions.
