HP ENVY x360 - 15-bp152nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 3 year old HP Envy x360 15bp152nr and noticed recently that the chassis seemed to be warped. After reading other posts, I checked the battery, and each cell is swollen, giving the battery a lumpy, bulging appearance. I know there have been issues with some HP batteries, even a recall at one point. Is HP offering any replacements, even though the laptop is out of warranty? I'm very concerned about the condition of this battery, and this laptop is the one I use for work. Any help that anyone can provide is appreciated.

Hi,

The swelling is actually a security feature of the battery.

You should replace or have the battery replaced. There is no recall program for your model.

The part number for the battery is 916814-855

You can perform an online search with the part number in your country and find a compatible battery

Ex

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=916814-855&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

On page 32 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the battery
