I do own hp laptop 15-da0xxx and i did open the back of my laptop and know that I do have a slow 1TB HDD and have M.2 SSD so my question is does is support NVME gen4 or gen3 so i know what to buy and not waste money on something that will work with half the speed and cost more..
and my second question is i do have 8 gigs of ram. how much ram can this model support and if it can support 32GB or 16×2 would be great because at this moment my laptop takes eternity to just wake up from a sleep and my HDD didn't even reach 20% of 1TB so this made me really frustrated.

As I posted earlier, chapter 1 of the service manual has the memory upgrade information.
If you need me to spell it out for you, chapter 1 indicates the maximum memory is 2 x 8 GB of memory if your notebook has an Intel core processor.
The only way you can accurately find out if your notebook would support 2 x 16 GB of memory would be to do this...
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once the command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Hi:
If your notebook has an Intel core processor it has an M.2 slot that supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types and memory upgrade info.
HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide
The NVMe slot is PCIe Gen 3.
There are reports from other forum members with the 15-da0xxx model series that have installed NVMe SSD's in their notebooks and reported that the drives only use two PCIe lanes, so the NVMe SSD's only run at about half of their maximum rated speed.
In any event, that would still be around 3 times faster than a SATA SSD would be.

You're very welcome.
The drive capacities listed in the service manual are just what HP offered in the model series, not the max capacity supported.
You should be able to install a 1 TB NVMe SSD and have it work.
