I decided to upgrade my old HP ENVY 15-k207nx (Energy star) since it was running slow on the HDD. Got a new Samsung SSD 980 M.2 NVME as i noticed my board had an M.2 adaptor in it when i was changing out the old RAM cards.
But after installation, I can't seem to find the SSD anywhere, not in the Disk management, not during windows installation via a bootable usb nor in disk drivers.
The fixes i tried:-
1. Updated Bios
2. Updated drivers
3. Tried to install Intel IRST VMD drivers from the bootable usb but it showed the drivers are not supported for your system (which i donot understand because the system definitely has an M.2 slot on the motherboard and I'm positive i have installed it properly)

No, M.2 NVMe won't work. Please use M.2 SATA drives for dual storage option.
