I successfully installed an ADATA SU650 480GB M.2 2280 SATA 3D NAND SSD.

The SSD worked perfectly on my HP Pavilion - 15-cc563st but it suddenly stopped working and can no longer

view the SSD in my bios. I had also left the original  1TB SATA hard disk drive in the hard disk bay area.

What would be the cause of the suddenly failure?

The most common cause of failure of m.2 SSDs is overheating, especially if it is an NVMe SSD not a SATA SSD.  The former get so hot they they requires heat sinks to be attached to prevent them burning out.
