Hello, I purchased a evo 870 ssd 1tb to upgrade my laptop which only 256gb hard drive, turns out it as a M.2 sata installed, so I went on crucial adviser and it says I can have M,2 sata or M.2 NVMe I was a bit dubious about this but went on chat and they said it was correct, I'm still a bit dubious still as most research suggests they are not interchangeable, so as anybody got any thoughts on the matter, Thanks

Hi:
I agree with you. I would not try to upgrade to a NVMe drive in that model series.
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that only SATA SSD's are supported.
