M.2 SSD compatibility with HP 250 G7

Below is the link to the service manual.

 

Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.

I doubt that NVMe drives are supported in models with the Pentium or Celeron processors.

 

The manual indicates that Optane memory is not supported, and Optane requires NVMe.

 

Another thing you should do before buying a M.2 SSD of either type would be to open up the notebook and confirm the M.2 slot is there.

 

On some model notebooks that did not come with a M.2 SSD from the factory, sometimes there is no M.2 slot if parts are required to add one.

 

See chapter 3, page 17.   There is a separate part for the M.2 slot.
