Hey,
I have a HP Probook 430 g2 (J4S79EA#ABD) and want to upgrade it with a M.2 SSD. On the Internet I can't find any exact Informations specifications.
Does someone here know the specifications (e.g. which type of M.2 SSD I can use, are there restricions to the maximum storage space)?
And is it possible to boot Windows (and if possible also Linux) from the M.2 SSD?
Thanks!

Here's the Service Manual:
It does have an M.2 slot but uses a slightly out-of-date form factor...a 2242 M.2 which is a SATA interface.
It would look like this and goes in the WWAN slot.
Yes it is bootable. You could have Windows + Linux. You may want a larger size for that, like this:
There are no practical size restrictions but you will not find much, if anything bigger than 256 gigs on the market. These 2242 disks were only in use a very short time before 2280 form factor became the norm.
