After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive installed on the PC.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to go through the Maintenance and Service guide of your HP notebook, and found that your PC supports for next-generation form factor (NGFF), M.2 solid-state drive, default with SATA/PCIe co-layout port.
Before starting, be sure you have all your data-files backed up and the drive should be completely RAW and uninitialized.
Support for the following solid-state drives:
512-MB, M.2, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive supporting triple-level cell (TLC) Part no: 857487-001
