Does my HP LAPTOP HG02N2M4 have a M.2 slot for an SSD?

Only the 15-ayXXX notebooks that came with a M.2 SATA SSD from the factory have a M.2 slot, which yours did not.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

Your only option for a SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
