HI I wanted to upgrade my pre-installed stock m.2 ssd (256gb) in my HP elitebook 840 g3 6600u to 1tb m.2 ssd, but I was confused at which brand is more reliable and compatible with my laptop as I don't want to purchase the wrong one and be in a position of not being able to return.
I shortlisted this particular m.2 SSD:
Adata XPG SX6000 Pro 1TB PCIe 3D NAND PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 NVMe
This was falling quite easily in my budget but is it compatible with my laptop?

HP uses storage devices from few suppliers. What is its existing now ? One of my machine uses Toshiba
And other machines uses Samsung
Normally, you can use any standard M.2 SSD. Many users prefer Samsung 970 series
