Hello,

I had installed an m.2 SSD SATA a while ago. I was wondering how I can make it boot faster. It takes a while for the hp logo to show after I click the power button and then couple more seconds to show my user name and all that. Fast startup is on and all the drivers are up to date including bios. I have disabled all the startup apps as well. It says my bios time is 7.8 seconds. Any suggestions??

@Jeffcc563st

I have both an m.2 SATA SSD and a standard SATA SSD and I can tell you that the boot time is the same for both.

You only get the really fast boot from NVMe SSDs and even then, your PCI-e lanes have to be gen3 or gen4 to get the improved speed.  Mine is gen2 and the NVMe SSD is no faster than the m.2 SATA SSD.
