Hello Everyone,
I am contemplating upgrading my Workstaion and I need some advice. I am aware of the densely packed real estate in these systems and so heat is always a factor. While reading the "HP_ZBook_17_G6_Mobile_Workstation_ Maintenance_and_Service_Guide.pdf", I was perusing the Memory and M2 upgrade/replacement parts. The manual states, " Solid-state drives installed on the bottom of the system board require thermal pads, which are
included in the spare part kit. Be sure to remove the old thermal pad and replace with the new thermal pad." My question here is are these Pads commonly available on "Amazon" or some place? or would I have to go to "HP Parsurfer" and order these pads prior to installing the M2 modules? I am also getting additional Memory, " 32GB sticks", to bring the whole platform up to 128GB. It says I will also need thermal pads for the new dimms once I remove the old ones. Same question applies. I might add this one too. Are these pads all the same size and could I just make one order or do I need specific ones for the Dimms and the M2 because of size differences?
Thank you in advance for your kind advice.
Sincerely
