I want my OS and other softwares to load faster, and I was suggested with M2 SSD upgrade. I want to know whether my HP Notebook - 15-bs541tu has an M2 slot, and if so, which type. Which brand can I trust, and how much memory would you suggest.
Thank you in advance

The answer is that it does likely have an M.2 slot.
Start on p. 45 for back cover removal and inside you have this:
RAM in green square; M.2 slot at red arrow
Please open the laptop before buying anything but your model with an Intel Core i3 should have the slot. It is compatible only with a SATA type M.2 SSD such as the Samsung Evo 860.
Western Digital, Adata, and others all also make a good SATA M.2 SSD and you often see big price drops.
You want to get the largest capacity the budget permits. A 250 gig would be the smallest I would consider, with most people finding they need a 500 gig or 1 TB version. If you mean RAM memory I would upgrade to at least 8 gigs by adding another 4 GB DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM module into the open slot on your laptop:
