Hello, hope someone can help me with this.
I bought an HP 255 G7 8MH72ES Laptop yesterday, Windows 10 64bit Home was pre-installed, started up, etc.
a few hours later after setting up evrything and installing some programs, including - HWINFO64, I started up that one to see the temperatures und what's all inside, to my astonishment, the 512GB M2 SSD from Hynix, was going up to 65 degrees celsius!
It actually had two temps, one with 65 and another with only 58 degrees C.
So the question is: can a M2 SSD work for years constantly with temps of 65 degrees C ?
My usual SSD Drives are at 35 - 40 C.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the NVMe SSDs run hotter than the older SATA SSDs -- and each generation runs hotter than the older one.
From what I can tell, yours is likley a Gen 3.1 SSD, which means it will run hot -- but at least it's not a Gen 4 -- which run so hot they require their own heatsinks to not throttle back due to overheating.
Your best bet would probably to do online searches for reviews on your model SSD to see if any sites have tested it and have comments on expected temps using it.
