If add a M2.2280 ssd to the laptop, is this ssd can be bootable by installing WIndows 10 OS 64bit onto it? Thanks.

The answer to your question is, yes! Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06148960
On Pages 45 and 46 is a list of compatible M.2, SSD's, and instructions for installing them.
Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will help you with transferring the OS from your hard drive (HDD) to the SSD: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Upgrading-Desktop-to-a-SSD/ta-p/7304861
For your laptop, you would install the M.2, SSD, into the socket on the motherboard and follow the instructions in the article.

@wmzhang824, yes, I don't know of any reason why a 1 GB M.2 wouldn't work just fine. The 512 GB is simply the largest SSD that HP furnishes. I like Samsung SSD's.
