HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Cx0093ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, HP Support Team,

I have HP Pavilion Gaming 15 15-cx0093ur, which has 1TB HDD t the moment. I've read that it is possible to expand the storage space.

1. What is maximum storage capacity of HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Cx0093ur laptop? How much can I add?

2. Which HDD is compatible with HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Cx0093ur laptop? I want to expand the internal storage to the maximum.

Regards.

Laptop SATA drives are all the same physical size and connectors, so there is no practical limit on the capacity limit of any drive you want to use -- the cost is the usual limit.

But with a one-drive PC, you will want to MIGRATE the existing setup to this drive and for that to happen, it must be formatted using the same scheme as the existing drive -- which is probably MBR.  So, that limits the drive capacity to 2GB.

However, if the current drive is formatted GPT, the  you can use a drive larger than 2TB.

I have seen 4TB drives out there, but they are very expensive.
