MAX RAM Limit in HP Pavilion Gaming 15, 16GB or 32GB

Hello, HP Support Team,

I'd like to know, what is the MAX RAM Limit in HP Pavilion Gaming 15 15-cx0093ur. By default it has 2x4GB DDR4 2666MHz, but I want to upgrade it up to 16GB, so I have a choice now - buy 1x16 (for the future possibility of updating) or 2x8, and

if the limit is 32GB - I'll buy 1x16 (GEIL GS416GB2400C17S 16GB, SO-DIMM, DDR4, 2400MHz) , but

if limit is 16GB I'll buy 2x8 (GEIL GS48GB2666C19S 8GB, SO-DIMM, DDR4, 2666MHz).

Please, reply as soon as you can, because I need to update the system and I need to buy the proper RAM first.

Hi,

Max RAM for your notebook is 32GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM (2x16GB) even if the service manual mentions 16GB.

You can purchase from your preferred brand. You could insert a 16GB stick and leave the 4GB module for a total of 20GB until the further upgrade.
