Hi
I have just installed Windows 10 pro on a HP 255 G7 which was loaded with FreeDOS.
After I checked Device Manager and I noticed that I have three “other devices” with an Exclamation mark beside them.
The first one is called “Multimedia Controller”
Under Events it states:
Device PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_15E2&SUBSYS_84AE103C&REV_00\4&35feb52a&0&0541 requires further installation.
The second one is called “PCI Device”
Under Events it states:
Device PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_15D1&SUBSYS_84AE103C&REV_00\3&2411e6fe&0&02 requires further installation.
The Third one is called “Other Device”
Under Events it states:
Device ACPI\SMB0001\3&2411e6fe&0 requires further installation.
I have tried to find the drivers but have had no joy, therefore can someone please help me?
Kind Regards
M Gray

Hi:
Did you really install W10 32 bit on there, or did you just make a typo?
W10 32 bit is not a supported operating system.
What processor does it have..One of the 7th gens or the Ryzen?

You're very welcome.
Go back and install W10 Pro 64 bit.
Doesn't your notebook have at least 8 GB of memory?
My 255 G7 does.
A 32 bit OS can only see and use 4 GB of memory.
You probably need to install the amd chipset driver for the 1st two devices, or it may be part of the graphics driver.
The Device ACPI\SMB0001 needs the touchpad driver.
As you can see, all of the drivers are for 64 bit operating systems.
You can get the chipset driver from the link below...64 bit only...
