Hi there Ian4770,
Interesting. How did you convince them to replace the stylus?? They brick-walled me after ghosting me on WhatsApp for almost 3 weeks. Now they don't even answer it. Here is their final email denying warranty:
We are sorry but your return request cannot be accepted.
According to HP policy, signed and accepted during the purchase in the terms and conditions, in case of change of mind or dissatisfaction with a product, the customer has the right to a return with refund at no additional cost (in no case is it possible to replace it with a different product).

Hi Snowy72,
So the replacement pen arrived today and I can confirm that so far it is working as I would expect. Fingers crossed it continues to do so.
As this is actually my daughter’s pen and laptop, she was able to try some of her friend’s HP MPP 2.0 pens out on her laptop this week and they both worked.
So I am pretty sure it was the pen and not the laptop.
As for how I managed to get a replacement, I can only assume it was because I had taken out HP care warranty at the time I purchased the laptop and pen so I had contacted the HP care team.
