the pen that came with my spectre wont connect. its fully charged with a white solid light when the charging cable is attached. but when i go to try and pair it nothing happens.

 

can someone please help

If your HP Wireless Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen is fully charged but won't stay on or pair with your HP Spectre Foldable PC, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Verify Charging

  1. Ensure Proper Charging: Make sure the pen is correctly placed on the magnetic pen attachment and charger area on the HP Spectre Foldable PC. The LED should turn solid amber when charging and turn off when fully charged.
  2. Charging Cable: If the pen shows a solid white light when the charging cable is attached, it indicates it is fully charged.

Pairing the Pen

  1. Attach the Pen: Attach the pen properly to the magnetic pen attachment and charger area.
  2. Check Placement: Ensure you are placing the pen in the correct magnetic attachment area, usually over the two microphones.

Additional Steps

  1. Reboot Devices: Try rebooting both the PC and the pen. Ensure the pen is securely attached to the correct charging zone.
  2. Driver Update: Make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware updates installed on your HP Spectre Foldable PC. You can download the latest versions from the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.

Verify Pen Functionality

If the pen still doesn't work after following these steps, it might be an issue with the pen itself or the PC.
