It is very difficult to help folks with questions regarding hardware upgrades when the service manuals are out of date.
A short while back, we asked HP why they link service manuals to the older model series on the newer model support pages and were informed that HP will not update the service manuals as new models in the series are rolled out.
HP has no intention of revising/updating the service manuals to reflect the newer models in the consumer notebook series.
Basically, all the manual is good for is to help you take apart your notebook.
Hardly any of the other information is any good--especially for memory upgrade info and motherboard part numbers.
For information regarding memory upgrades, I consult the specs page for the model series:
OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck2000 and 17-cm2000 series specifications | HP® Support
I can't even find any specs on the 17-ck2002nr.
Then you need to look up the Intel processor specs for your notebook on the Intel site to determine what speed memory your processor will run the memory at.
For example, if your notebook has the i9-13900HX processor, that uses DDR5-5600 MHz memory, not DDR5-5200 or DDR5-4800.
Intel Core i913900HX Processor 36M Cache up to 5.40 GHz Product Specifications
Another resource would be the Crucial memory/SSD report:
HP - Compaq HP OMEN 17-ck2002nr | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
I wish I had better news for you but there won't be any new service manuals forthcoming.
