HP EliteBook 840

Hello,

I have an HP EliteBook 840 G1 and my battery just died. Searching the web, I find many options for replacement batteries. I know my original part is D8T39AV (bought in Europe) , but the HP website for the Middle East says the CM03XL is the battey for my model. And there are more compatible batteries (the HP website lists about 5 different ones).

Is there any reason why I should buy exactly my orginal part? Maybe the other models are newer/ more efficient. Can I find a comparison somewhere?

Any advice is appreciated!

There are compatible 3 cell and 6 cell batteries which complicates matters. Buy based on stated compatibility to the HP Part number. The manufacturers identification number is less reliable. I
