HP Pavilion 15cc740tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade my RAM and set up Dual Storage for my laptop but I have some questions.

What is the Maximum RAM Capacity for HP Pavilion 15cc740tx?

What is the maximum SSD storage that it will support?

@Satchafunkilus

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 4 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) installed on the PC. And your computer support 8 GB of system ram. Click here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05705784 to know more about memory upgrade (refer to 2 Chapter 1 Product description)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Your maximum memory is actually 2 x 16 gig DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. The Manual will say 2 x 8 is the max but well known it can work with 2 x 16. Also, there is an M.2 slot for adding an SSD for "dual storage". The M.2 SSD port accepts only SATA type M.2, not NVME. There is no maximum capacity. 2 TB SATA M.2 SSDs are widely available and one of those would work fine for you.

If you want more details of how to do the upgrade and where to buy the components, please post back. If this is the info you needed please accept as solution.
