Hello.
Could you please help me to determine whats the max size of RAM and type, I can use on my laptop?
Can I use DDR3L or DDR3 only? Can I use RAM with 1600MHz frequency? (I know that max 1333MHz supported, but this memory more rare).
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: AMD A8 3500M CPU @ 2.4GHz
Installed RAM: 6.00 GB (4 + 2)
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The max RAM is 8GB of DDR3 1333Mhz (2x4GB)
You can use DDR3l 1600Mhz RAM which will run at 1333MHz, however if you are going to replace only the 2GB stick, it is best to get the same kind of RAM as is in the other slot. So if in the slot you have 4GB of DDR3 1333Mhz, I would purchase another stick of DDR3 1333Mhz. Naturally you could replace both sticks with DDR3L RAM.
On page 61 of service manual you can see the steps to replace RAM

According to the Maintenance and Service Guide you are almost at max ram. 4gb sticks compatible in AMD machines of this series. 8gb sticks can be used in Intel versions.

Thanks a lot!
One more question, as I understand SSD is not supported by my notebook model?
Or maybe I need to update version of BIOS for supporting?

You can use a 2.5" SATA SSD to replace the hdd:
Samsung even offers free Magician software to clone the hdd to ssd.

Hopefully @iomare will agree with that as well as memory.
