HP Pavillion x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What is the maximum RAM that can be installed in the HP Pavillion x360   model N5R10UAR#ABA?

I currently have 4GB installed and the NEW LAPTOP is very slow.

Does it use 4GB DDR3 DIMMS?

Hi, According to this.. http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-info?cm_re=top-nav-_-flyout-memory-_-us-memory

Its 16GB for every x360 Product. It uses SODIMM.

@sq2

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Your machine is an HP Pavilion x360 - 11-k117cl :

     https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-11-k100-x360-convertible-pc/8499314/model/8961275/d...

This Pavilion x360 11" series shares many things with x360 310 G2 series. Unfortunately it has

On-board system memory
DDR3L-1600 dual channel support
Supports up to 8 GB onboard system memory

Do you know what is "On-board " don't you ? That means it is soldered to the motherboard and you can't replace it.

Regards.

That is incorrect, the processor is embedded to the system board but the memory can be upgraded on the HP Pavilion x360 - 11-k117cl, it's not easy, involves removing the system board but it can be done.

The service manual shows you how to do it.
