Hi
I need to find the MAX RAM allowed on the 14-am077na to see if I can upgrade it.
However, all my searching just yields this:
which just tells me Memory, standard
Can anybody please either send me a doc/link to a spec that shows MAX allowed OR just let me know if I can put more RAM into the laptop.
The chip does allow up to 8 (see following link) ... just looking for confirmation before I order RAM:

Hi:
Below is the link to the product specs for your notebook.
https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c05364596
Notebooks with the Celeron processors, have one memory slot, and the slot takes a max of 8 GB of memory.
You can find the service manual listed under the 240 G5 support page.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06715382
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook.
https://eu.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct102464bf160b
You would have to remove the currently installed 4 GB chip and replace it with an 8 GB chip.
