Hello I have a Omen 17 ck1 DDR5 and was wondering if I can upgrade my ram to 64gb. I currently have 32gb but would like to super future proof it. I am looking at G-Skill Ripjaws 2x32gb or Kingston Fury Impact 2x32gb and was wondering if either of these 2 are compatible. Thank you. This is my full spec I have on my laptop.

2 TB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 SSD (4x4 SSD)
32 GB DDR5-4800 SDRAM (2 x 16 GB)
Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (2x2) and Bluetooth 5.2 combo
Windows 11 Pro HIE
Intel Core i9-12900HX (up to 5.0 GHz, 30 MB L3 cache, 16 cores, 24 threads) + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (16 GB)

@AJKern21

What is your REAL model/product ? It should be very similar to the following options

            https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/omen-by-hp-laptop-17t-ck100-509w5av-1#techSpecs

From the book, it supports 32GB max HP does not supply parts for 2x32GB. CPU-Z should be able to tell you which RAM sticks are on your machine now. It is much better to use similar RAM brand, no fancy using others to avoid compatible issue later.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.

Hi, @AJKern21

According to the Crucial memory report for the model series, your notebook will support 2 x 32 GB of DDR5 memory.

HP - Compaq HP OMEN 17-ck1000 | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com

You can also do this to see how much memory your notebook will support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
